BEHAVIOR CONSULTING

Specializing in Aggression, Reactivity, Anxiety, and Complex Behavior Cases

Serving the Northern Illinois Suburbs & Southeast Wisconsin

McHenry, Lake, Cook Counties to Kenosha

10+ Years Experience

Force-free. Ethical. Science-based. No aversive practices.

This work is about reshaping and transforming the foundation — so your dog can handle the world without falling apart. I work with families navigating aggression, reactivity, and anxiety, and with owners who want to prevent those issues from ever taking root. Whether your dog has a bite history, you’ve just adopted an adult rescue with an unknown past, your dog shuts down around guests, can’t settle in the home, or you’re raising a puppy and want to get it right from the start— this is behavior work rooted in safety, assessment, and lasting emotional change.

Obedience training can be helpful, but it isn’t the foundation for lasting behavioral change. That’s why so many families still struggle with ongoing challenges. I focus on educating you while prioritizing your dog’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

FOR DOGS OVER 16 WEEKS

THE FOUNDATION — $495-695

Price based on complexity of case, location, pack size, and goals

This required first session is a 2–4 hour in-home assessment, intervention, and training session. I’ll assess your dog in context — observing behavior in your home, evaluating triggers and emotional state, and determining what’s needed for safety and change — and begin shifting behavior immediately.

One session is often effective for creating immediate behavior change when protocols are implemented consistently. If needed, I will recommend continued support based on your dog’s history, your goals, and the complexity of the case.

During this session, I will:

  • Identify what’s actually driving the behavior- Full behavior assessment to find the real reason behind the barking, lunging, guarding, or shutting down. When we address the cause, the symptoms stop. This is how lasting change starts.

  • Map the patterns happening at home- I’ll analyze your daily routine, how every family member interacts with your dog, and what your dog is learning from those moments. Most behaviors aren’t random — they’re shaped by habits, timing, and social dynamics we don’t notice. Change isn’t made through commands. It’s made through connection and consistency. Once we see the pattern, we can shift it.

  • Give you the power to help your dog recover in the moment -Dogs can’t learn when they’re panicked. I’ll coach you hands-on to guide your dog from reactive back to thinking. This is the bridge between chaos and new behavior — and most trainers skip it.

  • Create the plan that finally works in real life -I design management, prevention, and training protocols built for your home, your dog, your reality. You’ll get clear steps to prevent incidents, create calm, and build a relationship based on understanding — not yelling, scolding, or advice that falls apart when you actually need it.

This session is for you if: Your dog has a bite history or has threatened to bite; walks, guests, or daily routines feel unsafe, stressful, or impossible; you have been through multiple trainers without lasting change; you are considering rehoming or behavioral euthanasia; or you want to set your dog up for success before issues arise.

Included: 1 month of phone/text support following your session to troubleshoot application of the protocols.

FOR PUPPIES UNDER 16 WEEKS

PUPPY FOUNDATION — $395

2-Hour In-Home Session | For Puppies Under 16 Weeks

Prevention is easier than intervention. This session is designed to set your puppy up for success before problem behaviors develop. We address the critical socialization window, prevent common issues like resource guarding and reactivity, and teach you how to raise a calm, confident dog.

One session is often all you need to prevent years of behavior struggles when protocols are implemented during this key developmental period. If additional support is needed as your puppy matures, I will recommend the best next step.

During this session, I will:

  • Assess your puppy’s temperament, confidence, and risk factors

  • Teach handling protocols for vet/groomer prep, resource guarding prevention, and bite inhibition

  • Design your socialization plan to build confidence without flooding or fear

  • Address puppy challenges: nipping, house training, crate training, alone time

  • Show you how to meet your puppy’s mental and physical needs without creating an over-aroused dog

  • Establish routines that prevent separation anxiety and reactivity later

This session is for you if: Your puppy is under 16 weeks; you want to prevent aggression, anxiety, or reactivity before it starts; you’re feeling overwhelmed by conflicting puppy advice online; or you want expert guidance during the most critical learning period of your dog’s life.

Included: 2 weeks of phone/text support following your session to troubleshoot puppy challenges as they arise.

No aversive techniques are used. I prioritize your puppy’s mental, emotional, and physical state, never relying on pain, fear, or intimidation for change.
